Valdosta's NP/PA First Annual "Give Back to the Community" Christmas Charity Event December 4, 2012

Hello NP's and PA's,

As a local chapter in Valdosta, December is the month for "Giving" and many members have asked about donating to a local charity or organization as a group our last meeting on December 4, 2012 at Mom & Dad's.  I think this is a fantastic idea to know that we can contribute to those in need and make their Christmas extra special this year.  I am looking for ideas from the group on organizations that we can donate to this year.  One suggestion, I was given the social worker from Valdosta School System's information and contacted her Friday about helping the children in our community that are homeless in need within the schools.  She stated the teenagers are one of the largest groups who need sponsoring this year.  We can sponsor as many children as we would like too.  My heart truly goes out to these children who are seeking an education for a brighter start.  This is just one organization that will be greatly appreciative of our support.  Please post any suggestions of charities that you would like to donate too this year or if you would like to donate to Valdosta's Homeless Children.  We will vote at the November 8th meeting from the Top 3 Charity Organization's.  Again, thank you all for your active participation with our group!
